post a ride. see who's near. show up. plus1 is the riding-mate app for UK mountain bikers — every discipline, every skill, every sunday.
plus1 is built around one loop — someone posts a ride, you see it in your feed, you tap to join. that's it. no group admin, no chasing whatsapp threads, no missing the start because you didn't see the message.
where you're starting, when, what level, what kind of ride. add a photo. drop a map pin. mark how many spots are open.
your feed shows what's on this week — by location, discipline, skill level. tap to read the detail, see who's already going, see how to find the start.
tap attend. you'll get a reminder the day before and an hour out. comments thread per ride. optional whatsapp link from the host for live coordination.
whether you're after a chill sunday loop or a proper club hammer-fest, plus1 is built for the way real rides happen — informally, locally, by the people doing them.
i was tired of riding alone. mostly because the trail's better with people — but also because riding solo isn't always safe, and after a long week the last thing you need is another quiet sunday in your own head. so i built plus1.
it started as a thing for me and a few mates in the forest. a sunday loop, a midweek blast, an "i'm at cannop, anyone around?" — without the friction of starting yet another whatsapp group. no algorithm, no engagement loop. just a feed of real rides that real people are actually going on.
if it works for the forest, it'll work anywhere there are trails and riders.
light pastoral palette, frosted glass over a watercolour-hill backdrop, and the kind of typography that doesn't shout. designed for one-handed thumb-flicks while you're stood next to your bike.
we're heading into testflight first with a small group of UK riders. drop your email and we'll let you know when it's live — no marketing, just a single launch ping.
testflight first — small group of UK riders so we can iron out anything weird. public app store launch follows shortly after. drop your email above and we'll send a single ping when it's live.
yes. plus1 is free to download and free to use. there's no premium tier, no ads, and we don't sell your data. if it ever costs anything, it'll be a small "support the app" thing — never a paywall on rides.
not at all. every ride is tagged with a skill level (beginner → expert) and a vibe (chill / club / casual / performance) so you know what you're showing up to. plenty of "chill" beginner rides being posted.
and if you're not sure — message the host in the comments thread before you commit.
mtb, trail, enduro, downhill, xc, gravel, emtb, and road. tag your ride and the right people will see it in their feed.
three ways. there's a map pin on every ride, a what3words address for precision (down to the 3-metre square), and a "how to find us" notes field where the host can describe the meet — "blue van by the cattle grid", that kind of thing.
hosts can also add a whatsapp group invite link for live coordination on the day.
yep. plus1 doesn't care about hierarchy. if you've got a route in mind and you'd like company, post it. if no-one shows, you ride solo — same as you would have anyway.
safety is one of the reasons plus1 exists. riding with people is safer than riding solo — full stop. but we also won't pretend the app does it for you: meet in public, share a what3words with someone at home, and trust your judgement on who you ride with. the in-app what3words and find-us notes make it easy to say exactly where you'll be.
no. plus1 stores the bare minimum needed to make the app work — your email, the rides you post, who's attending, the comments. no analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party ad networks.
